Kate is a spectacular machine! A lot of customers with a Sage barista express/pro machine have moved over to Kate for the ability to have an all in one machine which is compact and works like a dream! The built-in grinder with Ø 38mm conical burrs and micro metric step-less grinding adjustment allows you to get a consistent grind to be able to pull perfect shots every time, the consistency is fabulous.
She has a 58mm commercial filter holder so you will be able to stay compatible with the likes of VST baskets if you are that way inclined and want to take this machine to the next level.
A three way solenoid valve is found in quality machines, the purpose being to dry up your coffee pucks after you have finished extracting, Kate has one!
The LCC from Lelit is a very nice piece of kit and gives it that modern tech look. it has a timer to count down your shot, you can set the brew and steam temperature, and also set the pre-infusion.
The built-in coffee grinder is controlled by the LCC that allows to set grinding times for 1 and 2 doses, activated with a single or double push on the panel of the grinding area. The display shows also the dose counting.
The LELIT electronic control system (LCC) with the OLED graphic display allows you to activate the pre-infusion and to set the automatic washing cycle for the ordinary cleaning and the stand-by time according to the CEI EN 50564 norm. The display shows also the extraction time and the coffee, hot water and steam temperature. Moreover, it indicates the lack of water in the tank and automatically activates the "Reserve mode".
