Keeping your equipment clean is essential for good tasting coffee and long service intervals.

How should you care for your espresso machine?

1. Whichever machine you have the number one priority for you as the user should be to prevent limescale buildup, you do this by using in tank filters, and of course replacing them in accordance with the instructions on the filter package or machine manual.

2.  Back-flushing in accordance with the user manual, you will be using some sort of blank and the espresso machine cleaner.

3. Periodic descaling, DUAL BOILER MACHINES SHOULD ONLY BE DESCALED PROFESSIONALLY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE MACHINE. All other machines should be descaled gently as the descale is a corrosive, it is a bad idea to leave the descaler in the machine for extended periods.

4. Bottled water - Can still contain limescale so you still need to protect your machine for limescale buildup with filters.
